Modifying a Personal Account

Changes to personal account information must be made from within your personal account. Click the My Account button from the Main Search Page.

Ovid opens the Personal Account Administration Page.

Click the Modify Account link and Ovid opens an online form from which you may change your account information.

To modify your Personal Account, follow the steps below:

Your personal account ID, email address, first and last names are pre-populated, but you can update them if necessary. If you want to change your password, type a new password between 6 and 20 alphanumeric characters in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.
Enter your current password in the Current Password field.
Click the Save Changes button.

Ovid returns to the Personal Account Administration Page and displays a message confirming the changes.

If a cookie containing your previous personal account ID and password information is stored on your computer, Ovid clears it when it updates account details.

Update your personal account information immediately whenever your email address changes.
